Your perfect day of skiing? It starts right on the doorstep of the Gasthof Schweizerhaus, where the free ski bus picks you up in the morning and takes you to the Panoramabahn. The cable car takes you up the mountain to the heart of the Kitzbühel/Pass Thurn ski area with its 155 kilometers of perfectly groomed pistes and 64 state-of-the-art lifts. Practice slopes, family slopes, deep snow runs and mogul pistes – skiers and snowboarders will find everything to make them happy.

Make your tracks through the Pinzgau winter wonderland and enjoy the snow-covered landscape while cross-country skiing on one of the extensive trails (both classic and skating):

Pinzgau trail: cross the Pinzgau on 200 km of cross-country skis
Hochmoor trail: 22 km of snow-sure cross-country skiing at 1.250 meters at Pass Thurn (all levels of difficulty, partly illuminated)
Blizzard trail (easy): The 3.1-kilometer trail is floodlit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Finkau trail on the Gerlos Pass & Gletscherblick trail in Hochkrimml: for experienced cross-country skiers

Ski touring in Stuhlfelden

From beginners to experts, every ski tourer will find their favorite ski tour around Stuhlfelden. For example, one of these two:

Mittagskogel & Malnitzkogel

Road towards Bürglhütte, turn right at Sticklkreuz and take the path towards Mittagskogel (“Schnupferkogel”)

Walking time: around 3 hours

Experienced tourers can continue eastwards to the Manlitzkogel (1/2 hour).

Leitnkogel & Gaißstein

Road towards Bürglhütte, turn right at Sticklkreuz and via Sticklalm to Leit’n Kogel

Walking time: around 3 hours

Experienced tourers can continue westwards to the Gaisstein (1/2 hour).

when tobogganing in Salzburger Land

Fun and action for the whole family is the top priority when tobogganing. Fortunately, there are so many opportunities on top around the Schweizerhaus! You can either walk up the mountain, take the cable car or the toboggan cab directly from the hotel. On the way down, you are spoiled for choice: with a toboggan, sledge or bobsleigh. From moonlight tobogganing and torchlight tobogganing to tobogganing on the floodlit night toboggan run, everything is possible. We particularly recommend these natural toboggan runs:

Rodel-Arena Wildkogel: with 14 km (duration: 30 to 50 minutes, difference in altitude: 1.300 meters) the longest floodlit toboggan run in the world.
Berghof toboggan run: natural toboggan run with refreshment stops and rental facilities
